Although personally I don't think they are actually bots. Just people using VPNs randomly clicking through surveys.

I think there's a lot more people using an auto-filler than test taking bots...if you have that level of programming skill why waste it on Mturk?

Bots can get through some attention checks. Also, if it's a human who random clicks but, keeps an eye out for attention checks, they're essentially a bot, imo. Same garbage data, regardless of it's source.

I don't care if the requesters are bots. As long as the check clears.

I know little about how scripts, er, bots work. Just a little confused as to how adding one check box is going to slow down the "robots".

I always love that. The title says 5-7min. the preview page says 10-15, then the consent page says "around 30 minutes". Good times.

I tried it out of boredom. Took maybe 5 minutes.

having seen some of the crazy answers and crazy posts in different places that people put asking why this/why that and having an obviously poor grasp of the language used in most surveys I would bet there is easily 10-20% of people using scripts or extensions that fill in survey pages with one click....

and I see reviews on TO for how fast people get thru things that took me 3x as long so I know they must be using them to be that quick...

Don't need bots for that, just need to click bubbles very quickly, cook the timers, and pass attention checks. Not that I would do that sort of thing. But some people do. They're most likely posting their actual time spent, not the cooked time. There will always be crooks but I doubt all this is actually bots. Like other people say, probably just vpn scammers or something.

Bots = people not paying attention during surveys aka giving shit data? Tale as old as time there, requesters. I see they were complaining about people quitting hits in the middle of them. Well, pay better. lol God, none of this is new.

yeh that's what I was referring to...people using auto-fill or junkfill then just searching for the AC's and req's wind up with shit that makes no sense so they think it's some sort of bot when it's just a script and lazy turker.....

I only still have facebook so that I can say that I am a facebook user. I was close to deleting it but, some surveys want you to have one. Otherwise, I find no use for it.
