Vodka and LaCroix water is the bomb.
well, i was speaking more of flavored sparkling waters, like the kinds that are in your neighborhood grocery, next to the tonics and seltzers. you know, cherry sparkling water, peach, etc...

they are the reason I was able to quit soda.
my addiction was terrible. 2, sometimes 3 12 packs of sprite or cokecola would be consumed daily.
I'd keep two cans of soda as 'backup'
I'd drink them even if they've been in the hot car all day long.

It took a lot to admit that I had a soda problem.
It took some teeth.
It took some of my stomach lining.
It took my paychecks.

I knew I had to give up, but I didn't know where to go for help
who I could turn to
who I could trust

One day while crawling through the soda aisle trying to get away from the coke-brands, i bumped into the bottles of water opposite, and lay in a daze, staring up towards the ceiling, past the guy with the mop that was poking me.

All of a sudden I had a moment of clarity
A moment of focus!
Literally, I focused on the bottles of sparkling water on the shelf.

I remembered the days in my youth when my dad would bring home a blue glass of Clearly Canadian, wild cherry flavored sparkling water, and I remembered how it tasted like soda. but cherry soda. so it was ok, even if it wasn't sprite or dr pepper or anything.

So I stood up, and looked at the ingredients - no sugar. Yea, there's three sugar substitutes, in very small amounts, but comparable to the sodas I was used to at that point, it's nothing.

I've been drinking about 4 liters per day, since then.
Like 8 years soda free

But since we're talking about non-shitty CW (née WB) shows, I started watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend this week by accident (Netflix had a description for another show in its spot) and I am totally loving it. I am not usually into musicals OR romcoms, but this is just vulgar enough to keep my attention.

The songs in that show are effing great.

Jesus, I'm surprised you don't weigh 400lbs after drinking that much soda

I was always underweight. I graduated highschool in 1999 at 5'7", 105lbs. when I was 25, while quitting smoking ( a much easier addiction to overcome than soda was) I started working out, and eating much much more food. I was unable to get past 140lbs, even though my goal was 150lbs. I stopped working out about half a year later.

fast forward another year, had a girlfriend with a baby on the way, I lost my job, and didn't get another for a few months. then it was crappy job after crappy job for a few years... stress, age... so here I am, at 175lbs...

::sigh::

I just walk across the street. Crazy.
I mean, there's a gas station and a dollar store (and a drivethrough convenience store) within a quarter mile, but those are only good for booze/ice emergencies.

Sorry about your plight, but on a personal note I'm glad I'm not the only one who gained that much weight after a job loss.I lost a TON of weight at my last in between job (40lbs in 6 weeks and that's not a lie) to only gain most of it back the past 7 months.

How did you lose so much so quickly? That's crazy.

Anyone have a normal fire or HD 6? I need a tablet to hide at my new job and waste time when I need a brake. I can't take my laptop and don't want to spend much. Any issue surfing different sites or watching Youtube? Don't need anything fancy, jave a new laptop and desk top at home. I don't want to use the office computer to waste in case someone checks the history.
My 16y/o has the Fire that came out last fall. We unlocked it so that he could access the Play store and he does pretty much everything on it that you'd use a regular tablet for.

I think I'm done for this evening. I think this is the first time I've hit the $25 mark on a weekend day. I would have tried out the UserBob training hit but I'm just too tired at this point.

Today's Projected Earnings: $26.30

When you work at Costco after a desk job for years. The running around cause the stupid mother fucker forgot their 2nd loaf of bread or their 2nd pack of muffins made me run miles and miles every day. On top of that, I couldn't eat much from sheer exhaustion everyday. I was about 200lb and out of shape when I started there
