Good morning everyone! A balmy neg 2 with 3" of snow on the ground...only snowplows have gone by since I've been up. And it's amazing how much quieter the furnace runs since I put a new filter in...

we had that day before yesterday. make sure it's not headed your way! I hope the park ducks are okay. we have them double food yesterday since we didn't know if we'd make it today.

It's going down to 10 tonight, but that's not unusual here. What will be hard is the wind - we're not well suited for the gusts that are about to happen. That will take out electricity. But, tbh - I live on a main street and while I don't have a lot of wood (very sad about that!) - I have plenty for a few days. There's no way I'll be w/o power that long, though (it's really the 'main' street). I do worry about tree damage in the back, though.....

we had those tornados that came through in the spring and clean out a lot of the bad wood, well, left it for the humans to clean up. So, maybe that will help us. don't really mind a good winter storm though. but did get the ice guards for my boots yesterday.
