I've had 3/4 a bottle of wine, so don't quote me on this. I think it originally originated in the 17th century as a riddle to which the answer is egg. And along the way it mutated from riddle to story with the implicit assumption of an egg attached without any direct mention of it. No, I got them because I had a lack of enamel on my teeth when I was born. I was self-conscious of having teeth that weren't bright white. So I got the fronts replaced.

Interesting, cause my teeth weren't as bright as the could be one time I went to the dentist, and she told me that they aren't even supposed to be that white, and that you need bleaches/whitening done to get them there. But everyone thought I was full of shit when I said that.

I think there's a difference between less than white and an enamel issue. But I'm vain and self absorbed, so I got them.

I got hit in the mouth with a bat while working. They fixed everything but a chipped front tooth. Really weird medical reason why they couldn't. That would damage me more.
