Also updated my windows yesterday and my computer seriously crapped out. Should of read about the negative reviews of the update and held off like I have been. Luckily I was able to reinstall windows without losing my files. There was a five page paper on it! I'm horrible about alternate methods of saving. Got USB drive now.

The worst part of Windows is the update system. It's not easy to do, and it's dangerous if you don't follow up, but I disable mine and do the updates manually, periodically, when I know I have time to deal with problems. And check to see what the reaction is. And sometimes delay non-security rollups.

Unfortunately, like browsers, there is no best OS, just the least bad.

I totally wanted to get lights up this weekend. Only because it takes me about 3 days to get all of my outdoor decorations set up. I wouldn't turn them on until Thanksgiving night, I just wanted to get them up. Nothing wrong with getting them up early

But since the air quality is about the same as smoking 10 cigarettes, I had to wait. Darn it.

I am a Christmas FREAK!!! I have been listening to the music all month long. I always wait to decorate until all the kids are home so I wait until after we eat on Thanksgiving...we eat at 1pm, light going up at 1:05pm

I love the way you think.

It's going to rain here on Thanksgiving. Which is really good for the fires and the smoke, really bad for me who wanted to get some lights up. It's also going to rain the day before, when I get off work at noon and could make some progress on lights.

i'm all obsessed with my lights this year. I think it's because this smoke has grounded me inside. Though, I have done a few things I was putting off around the house (like re-anchorning the hallway rugs down that the cat managed to dislodge from their previous anchors...)

Well last Xmas we left for a party and came home to Chesty had tried to fit the fucking tree through the god damn doggy door, shit was everywhere, presents unwrapped, ornaments chewed up... took me over an hour to get that tree unstuck
