Good morning. I don't want to work today. I have a headache and a cold and ate a banana that was not tasty. Also my cat has the zoomies and keeps yodeling everywhere really loudly which is only cute for the first hour.

All of my friends who live with others and moved out before they got married/partnered up do so because it's unaffordable to live alone. BUT, I live in one of the most expensive areas in the country (NYC Metro Area/NJ Shore region) sooo... that might not be the case wherever you are.

Yeah everyone who doesn't live here and finds out how expensive it is is like "Wtf wrong with you guys?" We're paying for the area, not the space really. It will be nicer when we have a house someday... hopefully.

I guess that is Missouri to NYC.

Now this house is considered cheap for it's size because I'm sitting right off a pretty main road. But typical stuff here would be like 1000 square feet in the 950-1050 range.

we only have one bedroom, but we've got a dishwasher, so that's nice.

Before I met my husband I almost rented a room in Harlem, near Central Park, that was something like 200 sqft for ~$800 a month. That was like maybe 15 years ago though, so now it's probably a 2k "micro apartment" It was essentially a closet with a sink and a toilet.

Well just like here, the part of the city I live in is a little cheaper, if I go to where my parents live with is the ""northland" the same house would be 500 dollars more because of the area.
