I made it to bed at midnight and my wife woke up the whole house when she woke up at 4:30. I absolutely know that she does it on purpose. No other human being would intentionally drag their belt off the dresser so that the buckles slams onto the hardwood floor every single morning and not expect the gunshot-like sound to wake every living thing in the house.
If my husband did that every morning, he'd find no dinner when he got home from work at night (among no other things).

he was really distraught, screaming that a rat ate his toes. wouldn't calm down until my boyfriend touched his toes and said 'nope, they're still there'
Kids lol, I grew up with parents that were very anti ever being in their bed.

I've seen that go both ways other than a psychologist who was seeing our daughter told us that it's not a good idea, she slept in bed with her mom until she met me...and it's weird but all of the issues she said it gives kids, she has.

We need a Sleepless Panda's thread for everyone to complain about sleep stuff.

I don't see how you can get by with so little sleep ! ! !

I've a book, "The Scientific American Day in the Life of Your Brain." It covers the brain function hour by hour throughout the day. It says in there that people used to go to sleep for about three or four hours, get up and do stuff for about two hours, then go back to sleep for three or four hours. Kind of split-shift sleeping, I guess... Just thought I'd pass that along.

He slept with me until he was almost a year old, just I didn't have another room to put him in. We transitioned to his own room when he was about 9 months old. The first 4 night were rough but he's been sleeping in his own room ever since. Only slept with me a handful of times.

Hey I might try it! I've stopped just laying in bed after I wake up and come turk instead, so I'm almost doing it. I'll see if I can find that book, too! Or read up on the sleep science. Maybe I can trick my brain into behaving at night. Last night I slept with a t-shirt wrapped around my eyes, and that helped, b/c when I opened my eyes in my sleep I didn't see anything my brain could tell me was spooky stuff.

For now I'm just drinking a lot of coffee.
