That is a whole lot of snow activity in the middle of the night. Are most winters this gnarly for you?
Last winter was. This is our second year up here in the house......so, IDK. I don't mind this, so much. Shoveling is a pain. My daughter got up 1x in the middle of all that and said: "I helped"
I have NO IDEA what she did. I mean.....she pushed the shovel for like 10 minutes and then went back in.
But from now on there will be snow on the ground - until April. I'm not used to that. I grew up in NY and.....yk, it snowed, melted. Was barren - then a few weeks later more snow.
Constant snow on the ground can feel sort of isolating. I guess I'll have to get used to it :).

Yesterday I made chicken velvet soup and homemade garlic cheese biscuits. That was the life right there :D
If you were in the area, we would invite you over for some!
Sounds scrumptious!! And if I lived in your area, I would expect to be invited over.

Snow is so depressing to me. Yes, it's pretty for 10 minutes. But it quickly turns old and yucky looking, makes a mess of everything, and can be dangerous for driving.
Hopefully you get used to it and the beauty of the area from April until next winter more than make up for it!

jan @jan I'm kind of jealous. Michigan here, we only got about 6 inches from the storm. I am used to so much more snow on the ground than we have had this winter. It's single digits here today, going to be negative tonight, colder tomorrow. We have a wind chill advisory. I think we were up as much as you last night, but just loading up our woodstove so we don't freeze.

I am pretty warm, it works well. The best part is it was $10. I'd buy another one if I could find one - it's a no-name.
So I turned it over and found a name and they still sell them at Walmart online and they're under $10 now - I'm ordering another one today -

Absolutely, and we're still much in common. I'm really only a 1X. lol

I'd like to spend more on food and would if I had it. Life's too short. If I had my druthers I'd look like my avatar on fine wine, scotch, cheese, meats, sweetmeats, offal, pies, puddings, concoctions. Casseroles.

Home-canned goodies.
High five for offal!

It is currently 10 degrees (feels like -3 according to weather channel) and it is supposed to be -6 (with something like -20 windchill) at 7am tomorrow. I'm already counting on my kids not having school. However I think we are done with snow or anything for now, just cold, cold and colder.
