I asked broccoli on a dinner date years ago and it rejected me.




srly tho. broccoli is good if u cook it with so many spices that u drown out the broccoli flavor.

add some butter or olive oil to a pan, heat medium-high
when it's hot dump in fresh or frozen broccoli
season w/ salt and pepper
stir fry in the butter/oil until browned/slightly crispy (might need to add a touch more butter/oil at some point)
eat/profit

GUYS. It's seriously something unheard of...I'm eating something WITH BROCCOLI and I don't absolutely hate it!!! I mean, it isn't very good, but I'm eating it anyway.

I was very excited to discover microwave hollandaise sauce! I don't even bother melting or "streaming in" the butter, and it's still great.

1. Beat egg yolks, lemon juice, salt, and cayenne pepper together in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Slowly stream melted butter into the egg yolk mixture while whisking to incorporate.
2. Heat in microwave for 15 to 20 seconds; whisk.

Broccoli almost killed me the day before my wedding. I was at work and for lunch I had some broccoli florets. I got distracted and didn't chew enough and got one lodged real nice. Could not breathe at all. I ran out of the breakroom and a customer grabbed me with one arm and basically whiplashed it out of me. Broccoli can die a horrible, painful death.

I enjoy satire, but I realize not everyone enjoys satire this dark. It kind of set me back on my heels the first time I discovered it. I'm sorry about the discomfort factor. That was a really nice post you created to honor your friend.

It's kinda a personal thing with me. My Dad fought those assholes during WWII from the bombardiers plexiglass of a B-17, the first book he ever gave me was on Herr Hitler, and I've been something of a student of that war ever since: it *was* a unique war because they really *were* demonic; unadulterated evil. And you have no responsibility for my being a bit uncomfortable.

So now I'm wondering if, perhaps, satire may be the best way to fight those of similar beliefs today, so thanks for that. And thanks for the compliment about the post for my friend.
