Thanks. It turns out my super supportive boyfriend is keeping a big secret, one he'd rather destroy friendships and relationships than fess up to.
You should probably tell us all this big secret because it totally helps to get it off your chest.

my HR manager got fired today.
her boss came in from a 500 mile flight, and literally said "get the fuck out of this building" to her.

so bizarre
Yikes. wonder what they did.

If the guy flew 500 miles to fire them, either it was horrible, or that guy is a savage. A legend.
I literally just went to HR on monday because my child support garnishments have had four different totals over the last eight weeks;
this is important because feburary was less than 30 days, and child support is based on nominal months; but averaged to 30 days

as a result, after a month is shorter than 30 days, the following four weeks are 'IN ARREARS' and an extra 10% is taken out

I don't care about the extra money, I'm more concerned that ENOUGH is being taken out; if you don't pay, you risk [in my state at least] your license getting suspended.

therefore, I can understand why there could possibly be TWO [2] different totals possible, but not four.

so I went to HR on monday, and she says she sent an inquiry. today we're told that she no longer works there and if she contacts us anyhow, that we should be careful how we respond to her.

I mention my problem to the OPS manager, and he says that there is someone in HR today and tomorrow and I should see them asap

I go in and start out with "yea, crystal said she sent an inquiry.." and he was like "uh... ok, well, we can't actually do that, so let me tell you how I can help you,... etc.."

btw, I'm well aware HR is not there to serve the employee; HR's role is protecting the company from employee action.
