I had a nice reply ready to post but accidentally closed that tab.

What CPU were you running? I have a nice GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P MB that I won't be using soon. I just fired it up tonight to get data from some old floppies. Comes with a Phenom X4-965 BE CPU and it's yours if the other one offered here doesn't work out.

Amazon has some nice MSI GT 710 GPUs for $30 - $40 if you don't need more than that.

I'm not sure yet but if he is in green bay that about 70 miles from me, might work out. I have a pc from my son in law that he stopped using when it started running hot. When I got it the cpu heat sink was not seated all the way. That would explain why the fans would run flat out and the case would put off a couple hundred watts of heat. I cleaned it up and ran Ubuntu on it but not much else, too big of a case for me.

Not sure how good the build was 6? years ago. ASRock 870 extreme3 board, phenom II quad core 3.2 x4-955 black i think, radeon hd6850 video, generic dvd writer, good amount of ram i think. no hard drive.

Think that might be worth a case of cheap beer. idk
