@HelloHello I think she loved the poster that I got her of Singing in the Rain best. But I had also gotten her some pj's (just ones I found at our 'Off Label' store on 'super sale' (they were 2.50) that she was wearing happily all weekend. And the doll house chairs and tables she is going to try to use in her dollhouse (she's still working on it).

But the poster made her very happy

Left home yesterday morning at 3AM. Got to Montpelier at 5AM. Parked just past the Capital. Daughter and I got two bad, overpriced bagels and coffee (18.00) (they should just ship them from NY - sat in our car for an hour or so and then walked around, got average Chinese food, went to their library, traded my good camera eclipse filter for a bad one (it's fine, the guy had a great camera and daughter kept hers, so she got pics). Weather was awesome (uncertain weather this time of year, in Vermont - so we were lucky).
Saw the eclipse. Very cool!
as soon as the sun started to appear - just a tiny peek - we raced across the street - tossed our chair in the car and aimed for the highway. We were in the first set of tens of thousands who were upstate. Got to the highway just as the bottlenecks were forming
As first, however, we got home super fast (one slow spot that added maybe 20 minutes to our trip). We heard from other people that they didn't get home until close to 2AM. We were home by 6pm .
And, of course, daughter played Total Eclipse of the Heart on the way

I've made NYC bagels and to me it's well worth $4 each to get them air shipped in from NYC a few times a month
