So I had a unique experience this morning. I did a Prolific study and received a note from the requester. He/she said I had failed an attention check and I needed to return the study. On MTurk, that would have been a rejection which would be counted against me. On Prolific, the requester has the option to simply cancel the study out. No harm, no foul. As someone who tries very, very hard to avoid rejections, this was pretty much catnip. Prolific has greatly improved my experience with being a study participant.
