It makes me a bit nervous aswell but I figure the harder I work, and the more I do (within reason), the more successful I'll become.

Start developing good habits now and you can more than likely be successful by whatever metric you measure it.

Learn not to depend on the forum to find work for you... it misses a lot, good batches slip through the cracks all the time if they don't get lots of hype on the forum.

Learn at least one scripting language now and write a script for everything you work on.... even if it doesn't need one... the more you practice and challenge your abilities the better your scripts will be and the faster you'll write them... plus... when you challenge your abilities you get more nuanced at the skill and be able to make more batches profitable than someone who just does the bare minimum. Write scripts for shitty batches too... try to find ways to increase hourly you can achieve on it. Sometimes writing scripts for bad hits is much more worthwhile because they force you to get really creative, either due to poor hit layout and the requirements for submission.

Research other skills... like google search operands... having strong googlefu is essential to efficiency. Along those same lines... learn the keyboard shortcuts for whatever operating system you are on and whatever browser you are using.

Blah blah blah... you get the picture... pick one thing at a time... analyze how you are doing it right now... take a few moments to identify from that analysis what the weak points or bottlenecks are in the way you do it... apply what you've already learned about mturk and the skill to improving how you are doing it by addressing those weaknesses... come back next week and look at that thing again... then the next week...

I know you've been around for a few days but, it looks like it still applies. Yeah, so, a lot of people, when starting out really NEED money. So much so, in fact, that they are willing to risk a $1000 in a year for $25 now, a lot like some of those studies you do. But, the bottom line is that a solid base of at least 1000 HITs give you 50 rejections before you cross into that hell of, under 95%. Read that first and follow a couple of links. I think that should get you started. I need like 20minutes and I can help more.

I don't immediately need money thankfully, but I am trying to build something stable here that will be one of several streams of income that I will need soon. Thanks for the great advice and I plan to spend a lot more time here and working the HITs soon. I was hoping that you'd lead me to the Golden Egg but I guess we're still here in reality.

I used to have to take screen shots of every penny hit and fight them to overturn a rejection with screen shots.
But I hadn’t found forums yet...

Seeing this reminds me...that hourly script was messed up for a few days straight for me so I disabled it a week ago. Was this a me issue or was there a problem with it for anyone else?

It's worked fine for me & it hasn't been updated recently. Maybe something got corrupted. Only advice I can give is to clear cookies/local cache and re-enable.
Ccleaner hasn't been cleaning internet history for Chrome for a few weeks now. Idk if you use that. The developers know about it & are working on it.

Thanks Yeah I do that quite often for other earning sites that track with cookies and all that jazz. I just flipped it back on since I was thinking about it and it updated today correctly so that is a plus. It was getting stuck in the middle of updating last week.
