yes, this is how i feel :D
I generally try to avoid doing it, but when it happens and in my head when I think about it, the explanation is a rambling, nonsensical paragraph that conveys almost nothing. For actual income verification I just showed the statements.

and not just for income verification. its when i explain mturk to ANYONE.

my brain always goes blank when I try to explain a recent hit that i did. im always trying to think of something that isn't a survey. lol

I had to do this. I explained it as best as possible.

They said, "well that's taxable income..."

I said, "No it isn't."

They asked how. I said that it is like being an independent contractor for all different people. But, I never make enough from each to be considered taxable.

She just stared at me. I showed her my dashboard and how much I made that year.

She just said... "How do I get started on that?"

From then on, I just don't even mention MTurk.

yea i uploaded my last 45 days. but explaining it to the woman im just like uhhh i'm self employed.. i do.. jobs.

It's taxable income. And worse, you have to pay both the employer and employee portions of FICA/Medicare on top of your marginal rate.

My turking usually is pretty strong for a few months. Then I say screw this shit and quit for about 6 to 9 months. Then... When there is something I really want. I come back.

unless you have dependents.. then you just get a whole buncha money thrown at you

Unless your employer doesn't take tax out of you for six months like my last one did. Then, when I filed, I lost like 3/4ths my refund.
