I wish too.... this is the scariest thing I have been around. Hurricanes and tornados and the earthquakes I've experienced were scary but man fire has it on a whole new level for me and i don't like it.

Every single fire fighting aircraft in the country is either here or on the way.

The thing about this is that effects are going to last way beyond the fires, I bet our budget is going to be beyond fucked after these fires and a lot of things are going to have to be cut.

california has a huge amount of $$$ to the extent that "calexit" is a thing. someone's going to have to find out how they were so completely unprepared. for now, just get out of the way!!! we've had wildfires in colorado and those things can turn on a dime and go in a different direction. they also jump over areas. can you just leave actually?

here's what I know from colorado - get all your stuff away from your house. anything stored in the yard, especially near the house. pack your vehicle now. if you have to go, there is no time for grabbing things because fires move really fast.

could be. could also be wishful thinking on the part of literally all of the other 49 states. the governor there issues travel warnings not to visit other states. he should've spent that time inspecting their wildfire readiness. the important thing is just get as many people as possible to safety.

what about all those rich people, and the celebrities, they handing out water, setting up daycare, helping the elderly? hope so.
