thanks for linking that, it was super interesting!
i suspect i had some HITs come back from a server farm a while ago, when we were getting work done in spanish. a few workers submitted their work in english (despite the entire task description & instructions being entirely in spanish, in addition to specifying that the responses needed to be in spanish) so i had to reject their work. two workers wrote to request that we reverse the rejections, but their messages were completely identical, barely comprehensible garbled english. i 86'ed those two, and for the later rounds of that task i changed the location restrictions and it wasn't a problem again? i thought it was super weird, but it makes way more sense after reading that article
Now go forth humble requester and spread the word and get us more work.

how about if requesters set up some surveys for robots only, and see if they get accepted
then if they do, report them to AMT so they can suspend their accounts

well one of the things they tested in that article was whether workers they'd identified as going through server farms were robots or not? they did a couple of things like survey questions on ethics problems (which is a lot like the voigt-kampff test i guess) and they put in a form question that was invisible to humans, so they would ignore it, but a bot would put a response

and the Trolly Dilemma
in which we all know a robot would just kill everyone

This might be a silly question, but I don't need to worry about working while on the go, right? I'm in a different state than I usually am, but just for a week + a day or two. This will be a regular thing in the future. Is there anything I should be mindful of with this semi nomadic Turk life?

As long as you're not out of the US there's nothing to fear.

It certainly feels like it's not the US... but ty! Ohio is in fact as American as it gets. I will rest comfortably now :)

(Issac Asimov) Rules of Robotics: 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm . . .
Oooh so would the robots just back out of the survey? Or explode b/c either way they'd be doing harm? Might be on to something...

What the robots will chant maniacally while mutilating any human they come across?
