Nope. Not even a little.

EDIT I do know that's how you spell socks.
I'm pretty sure they're all Spanish words but, I'm also pretty sure you can't use them like that.
I failed Spanish in Junior High. I went back to college in my thirties, and Wartburg required a foreign language credit. So I walk in to Spanish 1 and everything is in Spanish, I understood nothing. Third day I went and asked the professor if I was in the wrong class, nope, beginner Spanish was for those with 2 years in High School. Since sign language was not an option I went with German. I was horrible, just horrible. I had straight A's in all college coursees and I was terrified of this grade, she gave me a B. When I asked her how that could possibly be she explained that I spent more time trying than anyone she had ever seen, and I had earned it for my effort. So lesson is kids, do your work even if everything in it is wrong!

DBL EDIT It's just a phonetic coincidence.
I'm not sure either. I think it means "that's correct". But I'm not sure if that's the correct usage, or if it was just bastardized so that they could make bad radio commercials in the 90s.

My two year old is running around my office shouting "Your farts smell stinky! Blech! It's awful!"

I haven't actually farted, so apparently I just smell bad. :o_o:
Maybe they farted and are just projecting

Holy crap that's a big hole!
I know, right!
But, it's completely in the wrong spot! Did he even look at these plans?
I don't know. But, you should have seen how hard he worked on it!

Jerami @Jerami actually typed the beginning of a correct sentence. I added some here to finish it. ETA: Not perfectly correct, but Google and someone who speaks Spanish would know what we mean. :)

I don't know about the radio commercial and, probably won't google it. But, I can guarantee it's not the correct usage. Just a coincidence. :)

Or not, see above.

It was for some language learning program. They'd send a bunch of books and cassette tapes for $29.99 or something.

I mean, what's a cassette tape?

it's basically a very loose "it is what it is" if you go the route that the majority of Latin legal terms do when one translates them to English.. that is, not quite exactly right but close enough for government work.

I mean, what's a cassette tape?
I had Italian on cassette tape(what are these?).
Io vorrei una camera con baño y una doccia, per favore.
No. La camera e molto caro, y la doccia e rotta!
Io voglio a buon mercato.

Drove for hours listening to that.:D

Yeah, I edited my post later on, I was trusting Google too much. :) Four years of Spanish in high school and a week long trip to Mexico with the Spanish class, and I can't remember much at all now except the very basics.

My advisor kept telling me to just get a D, a D gets a degree..... but when you have straight A's it means something. I didn't intend to go for that kind of record, but the longer you have them it kind of becomes a "thing", I was grateful for that B.

In college, I took a French class from this older man. He would go around the room and ask us questions in French. One day, he asked me in French, "Are you irresistible?" The class started laughing. I answered that I was not irresistible. He said, "Mademoiselle, I disagree with you. You are irresistible." The class laughed again.

I've never forgotten that little man. He was quite the character.
