as for a new week, I know for a fact that only certain people can start on mondays cause i couldn't do one today, yet I saw them on mturk (i didnt have the mturk qual for today)

I haven't really paid attention to when they were available to me in the past. I know I've done them on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but don't recall Monday.

I also want to give you all a heads up that we are looking at adding some new award/monthly challenge type things. For one, the HIT Poster award will be coming back, though we're not certain if it will be exactly the same as it was. We're also looking at doing a challenge for providing completion times to surveys that get posted here. If you'd like to participate in that you'll have to prefix your survey time posts with "HIT Time:" so our script can pick them up. A weekly "Leaderboard' will be posted along with the first post on Monday's threads so everyone can keep track of where they're at. We should have the details of all of this finalized by the end of the week and will keep you all updated. Thanks.
