I think after twenty minutes of not-a-single-penny I'm done until this afternoon. Too pretty to stare at a computer screen for nothingness. Good luck everyone!

UGH, just finished a survey and just when I thought it was over they pulled me right back in, over and over. Then I came to a section that asked me to describe my surroundings. Normally that would require me pushing the return button. But for some reason this morning I just could not do that. So I submitted this, I am actually not too aware of my surroundings right now because I am highly irritated with this fricking survey, it is deceptive and long not to mention boring so I am just seeing red right now. I am going to submit this knowing full well I could get a rejection but at some point someone has to draw a line in the sand. Requesters who think work they offer that averages out to less then 5 bucks a hour is fair needs to have a mirror held up in front of their face

unfortunately...that is at least half of them...

Good morning everyone :) :coffee3::coffee3: Saw some chatter about school supplies, I am working up for that haha, I want to be able to get my son his and hopefully some extra for his classmates within the next couple weeks.
I am also saving some money by not buying 12 glue sticks. I'm going to assume that's a typo because most of the other stuff seemed reasonable. I have not used 12 whole glue sticks in my life. I'm going to go ahead and get like 4 which I still think is excessive and if my daughter really needs more they can tell me she needs more and I'll send them to school with her. Also the dry erase I can't remember what but 6 or whatever it is for kindergarten? No. I don't think so. I wish it came with an explanation of why they think it is really necessary maybe or if an educator is on here and can enlighten me that would be great but as it is that seems outrageous. Okay, rant over.

It says that because they make the kids share, they basically make the kids whos families can afford it pay for the poor kids. They take all of those supplies and put them in big community tubs for everyone to use.

I personally always found it annoying to have to buy 15 glue sticks or something but that's why it says it because they figure only about half the kids will bring in any supplies and the teachers don't want to pay for them so this is how we end up with these ridiculous supply lists for elementary school.

If that's the case then in 1st grade when I've actually had a chance to work because my kid is in school most of the day - then I would be happy to do that.

just don't send any inn, or talk/email/send a note to the teacher explaining why you can't do that right now. My sister talked to her daughter's teacher and told her she can't afford it and the teacher said not to worry about it.
