The boyfriend has actually suggested the same thing. He claims that he would be fine with less food. I doubt that he would complain about less food.

The advice you all have given me is very sensible. I think that I will simply no longer make so much food that I expect leftovers. I will cook enough food for one meal and save everything else for the next day.
