Only if my computer is chugging at something. Like I opened a program and my microphone is competing for processing power.

I don't think they care about the starting click. I would wait after clicking so that it's a blank slate (1-2 seconds) and then speak. I think they don't want you clicking in the middle.

I use a headset so that helps avoid unnecessary sounds.

And is it only me but does @Kadauchi 's script to start the recording only work if you click on the page first?
