This week has been extremely weird for my youngest son who's 17, he goes to high school in Celebration FL. Yesterday they were on lockdown and they delayed release to secure the perimeter because of a threat towards the school. My son said they found weapons in the woods, but didn't know what kind of weapons.
Today.... They evacuated my son's school bus because of a threat, and they had to wait for another bus before they could go home. Neither time would they allow me to go to the school and pick him up, some type of protocol.

I'm starting to wonder are they being over-cautious, or is there REALLY something going on at the school we don't know about.

teens do a lot of copycat stuff - so even the really bad stuff is apt to increase after a tough event.

That's scary. I would be concerned about weapons in the woods. My son is just starting college, so I'm not so far removed from thinking about highschool. I hope it's all ok soon.

I Finally got him home, asked him what happened, he said a woman got on the bus and asked a kid in the back to take his hoodie off his head. (It's in the 80's here today) Apparently the kid would not cooperate or move, so everyone else on the bus had to get OFF the bus, and two police officers boarded the bus to remove the kid. But my son has NO idea what the kid may or may not have done.
