Abandon the cities.
But then you have to drive, and driving and cars are bullshit. (Also expensive and time consuming AF.)
I mean the rent sounds nice and all, but I'd just as rather not have to be in a car for half an hour every time I need milk or eggs.

you or CJ told me someone got shot near you last year or something
i forget who said that :(
We crap on Memphis all the time, but tbh, it's just that we have good areas and bad areas, like most big cities. We've never had an issue in our area, other than someone looking through cars one night, and somebody stole a neighbors power tool from his front yard. For five years of living here, that's a pretty good track record.

(But yeah inner city Memphis is terrible)

I admire the grind, that's for sure.

It is, but I have no more excuses. Good computer setup, settled into a new place, and I have bills due. No better time than now.

Nothing wrong with friendly competition. I think the difference in $ might be just because of the cost of living.
My point wasn't that you should not go for it. My point was that you diversify income sources, especially when Mturk has been as bad as its been.

My town has a population of 65,603 people :(

BUT the town I looked up and used is the town that handles my mail (12,150 people). The bigger town wasn't on that list b/c they break it up into neighborhoods or some garbage.
How does that even work? Shouldn't it be the other way around, that the bigger town handles the mail?
65k isn't too bad, but 12k, yikes.

lol I love the area living
Mine is (there are 1700ish ppl here)
63 livability
D amenities (no kidding 30 miles radius of cornfield ONE stoplight in the whole COUNTY)
A- cost of living
A+ crime (I would give it more A- home invasions and the occasional meth labs)
F education (no kidding. I mean the basics even is terrible)
D employment (this should be D- to F+ there is nothing here)
D housing. (here I kind of disagree. Housing is CHEAP Just not a lot of places sell because no jobs and distance from everything)
D- weather (lol well depends. Its the same as everyone Spring thru Fall but 1930-1999 and now 2019- we have been the coldest in the state)

This is my life pretty much.
"In town" here (3 miles for me) for example, milk is $5 a gallon.
If I run to Walmart or Aldi in the town 15 minutes away, milk is $1.05 gallon.
The nearest major city is only 35 minutes away, and I'm 10 minutes off an interstate, so its the best of both worlds IMO.

LOL my current neighborhood gets 77 livability. Amenities and education are great, but cost of living gets an F, Housing gets and F and Employment only gets a C+

You've received a bonus from Peter Washington for work related to 3BDORL6HKJCV3DQHQ8H1FGWDD6NRC9.
The value of your bonus is: $0.05 USD

The Requester included this note:
Thanks for participating in the autism video ratings HITs so far! You have scored highly compared to other workers, so we are opening up several new tasks for you and a few other high scoring workers to complete. The tasks involve answering the same set of 32 multiple choice questions as before but on a different set of videos of some children who have autism and some who do not. There are several of these tasks, named "Autism Video Rating Vid N", where N is a number between 1 and 200. Not all of the tasks have been posted - we are posting about 50 at a time. Please rate as many as you want. Thanks again and looking forward to working with you!

The last set paid $2.50 a pop and only took a few minutes each. Damn, that will be a great batch when the HITs start showing up.

mine's pretty bad :rain:

it's also inaccurate about amenities... nothing good close by but proximity to downtown philadelphia is convenient.
yeah amenities is definitely wrong, we have like 2 grocery stores and 1 peebles. lol. employment and education is definitely correct, though

Walmart is 35 miles for the closest one for me. Our local grocery store has expired dairy, meat and shelf items on so many occasions I refuse to shop there so the next place is about 12 miles away. =/

Better yet is the health care here. My fave story. My husband's father was named Jesse and I am Jessica. He had hip replacement surgery when he was in his 80's I believe. Sadly he passed away many years ago now, but about a year after he died, I got a letter from the hospital network for the area telling me it was time for my annual hip replacement checkup. ......... umm. ... Ok our names were close...but you know, gender, age, social security number, address, I would assume different patient id numbers...deceased/living????

This is, of course, a teehee sort of example, but one I am just so confused by and sort of can show you that I can continue on with darker incidents, but that's not for here =)
