I love driving too, but when I worked in Seattle it was so much cheaper to take the bus. I didn't mind it for the most part, but I did buy an ipod just so people on the bus wouldn't talk to me. Even if the battery was dead, I would just stick the earbuds in so people wouldn't try to start a conversation.

That's so funny! My dad drove racecars too when I was growing up. My brother's like you that way, pretty sure he got all the driving genes.
Ann Arbor is pedestrian-friendly, huh? Any ideas about the COL there?

(gotta say, omg 3 cars. Just to park those here would cost as much as I pay for my room a month, wish I was kidding)

I've heard many good things about UofM, though don't have personal experience, I did my only semester of college at their rivaling school.
I definitely wouldn't have them if I had to pay to park. One is my grandpas 78 pickup, which is a project truck. One is a pickup truck that used to be my daily driver, but we keep around for hauling wood/extra work vehicle (currently not running and hasn't been used in a long time), and then my daily driver is a Camry Hybrid. We also have a carpet van. In the past 6 months, we've sold 2 cars and a motorcycle. I have a problem obviously

That's so bizarre. I live in north Seattle and the only time anyone speaks on the street around here is to apologize when their (sweet, friendly; I've been really lucky so far) dog runs up to lick my hand or whatever. I guess the Seattle freeze varies by neighborhood or something.

P.S. Pretty much my whole family were car people and I love driving, in fact "fun to drive" is like the third thing on my list looking for a car right now after condition of the vehicle and reliability, so no econoboxes and really trying to avoid an autotragic transmission.
