I don't know how you guys can still make yourself turk after doing it for so long. I think I've finally reached the point of not touching turk at all anymore.. so if anyone wants a masters qual that Amazon decided not to revoke, have at it. I'm not switching forums or anything.. just ranting. Though I've always found it fascinating how people can set up shop at a new place so quickly.

You just can't stop, really. It is so immensely hard to get back into it once you've allowed yourself to get used to not turking. I didn't do much turking last year and I'm having a hell of a time trying to find a groove again.

Going great. my performance review is tomorrow and I'm going to try to talk my way into a position that's been vacant for a few weeks. So naturally, I can't sleep on my only night off this week.

I hit the wall a few times.

These days I just work as casually as possible.....don't try to force anything.....don't lower myself to do shitty work.
Make a bit less than I used to but at least I have my sanity.

I have to admit I'm impressed. Usually when I say metallica sucks, there's always that one person that mentions St. Anger there's rumor of DM being remastered in the probably very far future if that's of interest to you.

I actually didn't mind St. Anger, it had some solid songs on it. It wasn't the Black Album, but that was a masterpiece so it's not really fair to compare. But my friend got Death Magnetic as soon as it released and it was just painful to listen to. I never heard the Guitar Hero version but I hear it was much improved because it was done from the original master without the sound being pegged to 11, so yeah I'd give it a listen if it was ever fixed.
