It's not that horrible. Just don't get ballsy about what you can eat when your mouth is numb. I found Ibuprofen to do the best job at pain/swelling. You will be fine

Since it is just one tooth you should be fine with that if you chew on the other side more. I had 5 at once (I'm a mutant[thanks dad]) and in my Demerol haze I bought a family size bag of Doritos and ate the whole thing. Tore all the stitches and didn't even feel it.

It's an excuse to eat a lot of ice cream and comfort food.

well I had all 4 pulled out at the same time, managed to get 3 dry sockets because they didn't give me instructions, got fucking wasted then got into a fight with a neighbor about a tree of all things, got arrested for said fight, spent the night in jail and they gave me no more meds. That day sucked.
