I dont know i think my laptops haunted.... a few months ago it turned

What are closed quals? Sometimes I go to quals and just randomly request or take the tests and cross my fingers that itll open something up for me to do. I think its only worked like one time though...
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Are you a professional quoter of messages? Because damn you're super good at it.

Qualifications that are closed off, as in no longer accessible by others. That means the money posted in those HITs can only be accessed by a small group, so each person gets more of the pie, so to speak.

Look for qualification HITs rather than randomly taking tests.

I run PandaCrazy, MTS, and Overwatch to keep track of the requesters I like. I'll run PANDAs on any high paying survey, knowing that people often return them if they let them backburner in their queue too long. I keep an eye on MTS's HitFinder for any batches, and as the saying goes, "scared money don't make money", so I go for the no TO batches and difficult things. You can see I got a few rejects this past month - 6 of them were from a requester who had extremely poor directions and judgement, but the HITs paid $2 each so I took the risk (I think I got rejected on 6 out of 20).

The most important thing is to wake up early, and watch HitFinder. You'll pick up most of the good surveys that way. Also make sure to PANDA the things that pay well/you enjoy doing, especially if they're a regular poster. Also, pick up every single qualification you can when you get the chance - I think UserBob was one that was posting around today, and that was worth a pick up.

But yes, having Masters is a big help, and the closed quals I do have that still post are $. Picking up quals is super important, I can tell you that...
This one right?

I love my job. It's flexible. If my kids are sick I can bring them in or just stay home and make the same money (I'm salaried.). The people I work with (it's an office of 5) are like family. But at the same time, I miss the diversity of turking.

what kind of job did you get?
I'm working for a realtor/auctioneer. My thing is online personal property auctions. I go in (with a team) and catalog the contents of a house and set it up for online Auction at hibid.com.

1) do any of you fulltime turkers ever miss working a "real in person" job every now and then?
2) if no - how long do you see yourself turking for?

i'm drinking a whiskey and coke and am interested in hearing some response to this

Drunk now as well. When I was turking, I missed having a real job as long as that real job wasn't super corporate (which is what I always did before, and felt like just a shitty cog in the machine.). Now I'm working at a place that values individuality but I miss you all and rating wannabe surgeons and YouTube vids.

1.) I do sometimes miss working a real job around other people. Especially when I was a Head Chef, but at the end of the day when your working 80+ hour weeks every week it gets exhausting. Smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day drinking 12-15 beers every night to kill the stress. Having to be right back at it even when your sick and being down. But all in all i miss it. I was offered a job not too long ago at a Winery near by. But i'm really just enjoying spending time and having time to spend with family and to do other things like go back to school and what not.

2.) For right now i see my self turking for a while. Especially if i get that amazon customer service job. I will be here on mturk and turking and working all from home 24/7.

Edit: The long hours have taken a toll on my back my feet everything it sucks and i'm only 26 but ive been all over Sous Chef/Exe Chef done line cooking..

Don't miss it at all for many reasons. I've cut back on turking a lot already. After September I can start raiding my IRA's without penalty. I'll probably still do some qualled hits but not much.

So this is the problem i have been having lately, My husband uses that new panda thing that kaduchi made i think... but i am still using the old turkmaster thing because honestly the new thing looks so complicated and hard to learn (could just be that I am easily intimidated learning new stuff like that because of my ADHD that i automatically am just like... no, uh no way that has way to many buttons and doodads to figure out...) but anyways in my experience ive learned that with the few high paying hits i can qualify for, when they pop up on my turkmaster and i dont immediately accept them then ill never see them become available ever again. So i just accept them all and then i have to frantically try to complete them in order of whichever expires first/how long it takes (what a nightmare) sometimes it works out but most of the time i try to do like 3 at a time because they all expire at the same time and then i dont finish ANY of them in time and i spent ALL THAT FREAKING TIME ON THEM and 95% i cant accept them again to just input my code or email the requestor my code and i mean i just feel like crap those days and wanna delete my mturk account.... I cant figure out how to avoid it though because like i said if i dont accept tem the first time i generally wont see them pop up again ****insert crying emoji face thing here****** anyone else have similar issues??? or am i just doing it all wrong(probably)????

1) Yes, I do actually. I'm turking mostly as an inbetween jobs at the moment, but back when I used to do it fulltime, it was a little bit exhausting, and there's a weird rollercoaster of emotions day to day. You'd get good HITs, or you might miss some, and it's just ups and downs and ups and downs. I guess it wasn't really "full-time" even then, since I went to school, but I don't do anything else for income than turk currently. On the other hand, dealing with people from day to day has been... well, different. No longer can I just sit around in my boxers and half-watch YouTube videos or open up Overwatch when things slow down, instead I have to get dressed, wake up early, go to the office, and sit down for a day. It really lacks freedom, and I don't feel competitive with my co-workers, which is something I feel drives me to perform harder.

2) I'll probably be around for another month or two, just until things tide over at the new position I'll be undertaking. Co-founding a company is definitely something I haven't done before, so it's an interesting and exciting time - just logistical things need to be taken care of that I have no business with.
