I think everyone just handles breakups in different ways. After breaking up with someone, I've never felt any urges to remove photos or anything. I know others that are the same way, and I know plenty of people that choose to delete/burn every photo they have. I think it really just depends on the people involved and on what terms they ended the relationship.

It's okay to be on guard, though. I'm sure I would be. Four years is a long time and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that there may still be lingering feelings there, after having only broken up five months ago. But being friends with someone on social media and having some photos up doesn't necessarily mean that there's anything going on there, either.
Well that is kind of weird that she has pictures up of them still, maybe she misses him.
i dont know how they ended or who ended it. if i had to guess - he ended it. i dont know.

i kind of feel like giving up on her just to spare getting too attached just in case
even if she does like the rock

I think that depends on you and your exes. If both of you are able to be adults about it and acknowledge that people move on, then I don't see any problem with remaining friends, in real life or on social media. I'm still friends with all of my exes on social media and I still talk to every one of them from time to time. But if either one of you can't handle that for whatever reason, then I would say no.
Late here. I'm friends with all of my exes except one (at least on a friendly level) but it an be tricky. Sometimes it just isn't worth it.

Julian Assange's internet link has been intentionally severed by a state party. We have activated the appropriate contingency plans.

So you're worried that she can't let go of her previous relationship. Are you basing this on anything other than the fact that she's friends with her ex on social media and has some old pics up? It seems to me like it's a little premature to be giving up. If you really do like her, maybe try to get to know her more. It's okay to keep an eye out for red flags, but still, at least try to enjoy yourself. Maybe she'll surprise you. If not, at least you tried with someone that you really liked. No one ever said dating was supposed to be easy.
