I think they may have been basing that on the fact that a lot of people only got around $4-5 bonuses, and some i heard even quit the game early and only netted a $2 bonus but looks like we exceeded their expectations

I wrote to Rowan to say that I found his HITs interesting and challenging, but also (and related to this) time-consuming and underpaid. Got this note in reply:

Thanks for the feedback (and sorry for the delay in response, a bunch of messages went into spam)! this is really helpful. I totally understand that these HITs require a lot of thought, so I'm looking into solutions that would allow the HITs to take less time and pay more (also streamlining the [person1] [person2] inputs...) The current option that I'm looking into is having one question per HIT, with the option to ask more questions if the image is really interesting (with a proportional bonus per question). The rationale is that some of the images seem more difficult to ask 3 good questions for.
Let me know if that sounds reasonable

I don't understand why though; my prediction is actually exactly how today's crypto markets turned out.

weird. he included a reason: "REJECTE Must Answer All Questions. Status Completed 1 out of 10 Pick whether you think the following 10 cryptocurrencies will go up or down tomorrow."

but the submit doesn't work until you answer all of the questions, so that's not possible.
