07/03 - Torrid Tuesday!

Truthfully our oldest kid is self centered but he's not rebellious he's just the spitting image of his dad. The one we are talking about now has always been difficult and supposedly her dad had and still has a lot of the same issues. I've been around for a long time but you can only escape your genes so much. The girls in general have always been way harder than the boys have, I dunno of that is typical or not.

Like the daughter that just left the biggest issue she has is she has serious daddy issues that I dunno if she'll ever get over.

I'm 40 and I have serious daddy issues. I accept it, my husband accepts it.
It's typical in my experience. Being a teenager sucks. Being a parent to one can suck even more.

Pretty much, I even had the talk with all of our children that the best thing you can do is figure out who you are are not run out and jump into a relationship because no one can fix you or save you or whatever you may think. It's best to use your 16-25 years to figure out who you are, love yourself and then find the relationship that fits you...

So then our daughter goes and does the exact opposite. lol

But for real, if I could go back in time and shake 19 year old Bird, I would tell myself to not make the same mistakes...and I'm sure 19 year old me would never listen.
