god, those and silverfish are disgusting. I'm pretty sure I literally have a phobia of them.

Once upon a time I actually broke my bathtub in the process of killing a centipede that was chilling in it. Worth it.

one time there was a silverfish on my wall so I sprayed it with clorox. it dropped off the wall so I figured it died. Then about 10 minutes later he was racing up my leg. I swear to god he was coming for me. I peed myself. literally.

Things to ponder this morning:

Spiders only remain small on Earth due to the force of gravity on their exoskeleton. If they ever hitchhike into space or on other planets they will grow much larger.

On Mars a brown recluse could grow to be the size of a recliner.

that's only if their diet will support such a large body, and if the oxygen levels are high enough to support larger bodied prey for those giant spiders; the spiders themselves will probably have book lungs and would be able to go hours or even days without breathing, assuming they don't move in that time.

Speaking of spiders. The cleaning person killed one at my desk and released hundreds of baby spiders. I've been battling them all week. I put on my sweater and had four little bites on my arm. Thankfully, either baby spiders can't really hurt you or they weren't poisonous.

Humans are loaded with calories and carbs. It would be a buffet in an enclosed, oxygen rich Mars colony...with no escape.......

besides, I'm on team centipede anyway

I had bedbugs (I don't know how) several years ago, and I'm lucky that this apartment complex has a centipede problem.

I took everything out of my bedroom (the only room really affected
I turned the dressers upside down
I tossed the mattresses and slept on the couch for a week
On days 1-5 I steam-vacuumed the bedroom
On day 6 I released a crack team of 10 centipedes into the bedroom
and on day 7 I rested : prayer:

anyway, my problem was solved and I was a happy camper
