no no no, you misunderstand

I'm not on a diet
but I'm still able to look at a plate and know that it should be more than enough food

I'm still able to tell myself that I shouldn't feel hungry, and that I shoulnd't head out to the diner and get a delicious roast beef sandwich served with a side of au jus gravy

I mean, cheesus christ, look at the competition

You probably already resolved the issue, but at times like this sometimes drinking a huge glass of water can help. Oddly, the body can confuse hunger with thirst.

Huge help for mine :) I rarely get depressed now....sure not drinking helps with that lol but seriously just daily downers go away when they are around me.
I have to pursue that. Which means I have to get some kitty litter and a box and food before getting the cat/kitten (would much prefer the latter, at least initially). Thanks for the input and encouragement. !

In some weird way I think I'll be rooting for the Dodgers tonight, redtokyoboxers @redtokyoboxers

edit: scratch that, tuesday.
My day so far has been reading the words "Kershaw left arm tendonitis" and going ah fuck tommy john and then being well actually'd to death by baseball twitter saying it's bicep tendonitis which is probably the rotator cuff which means NO BIG DEAL right

hate baseball

Neat! I just need one for the company since there is ... nobody around here, and I'm sure one would help with my depression.

Cats are magical and medicinal. The dog too, but cats are low key. When I'm super depressed they still give me purpose. Also, my cats happen to be very affectionate. My little grey, Taz, comes running when you're crying and purrs while rubbing on your face. I do not deserve him. Sonja sleeps snuggled in the crook of my arm every night. Even when they piss me off and keep me awake, they pros outweigh the cons. I didn't live with mine for 9 months and it was rough. my mom threw down with me and told me I needed to rehome them. But I finally got them with me :)

I'll second how much they can help. When I was making plans to move to the US from the UK, my ex suggested that if I couldn't find someone to rehome them with, that I have them put down. All I could say was " But, there were years where they were the only things that loved me." They really were the only things that showed me affection and love. And all they demanded was food.

So, of course, they came with me. (Transporting elderly animals isn't that easy.)

Uh huhm they both came over. I still have one of them (curled up on a stool next to me. a lil 18-year-old liking the warmth of South Carolina).

I'm sure transporting elderly animals is difficult. But congrats for doing what you did. You not only paid back a bit to those who loved you, ... you kept the family--the cats and you--together. :)
