I used to do that too, then after Amazon had the warning, I got a little worried about too many draws on the account. Although, now I don't really think that's maybe what they were talking about. Kind of miss Hitscraper and open it everyonce in awhile though.
i remember we had a discussion as to whether that warning meant something new or if mTurk was just rephrasing the PRE message. I believe the consensus was not to worry about it.
If you are getting enough PRE's to cause amazon to take notice, the you probably aren't able to work efficiently anyways.

It's frustrating how wildly this varies. I can't even use PC because it causes so many PREs if I put more than 1 thing in it that everything locks up. But other people run PC and HC and other things all at the same time and it's fine.

Yea, every once and awhile i'll have a day where I can get a pre by just refreshing my dashboard with HF running but those are pretty rare now.

My times if anyone is curious.
I run PC @ 1200 - HC @ 1200 - HF @ 2000 - HM @ 3s

Edit:
I forgot I use hit monitor as well.

That's not excessive.

I can't get PC to work well with my situation. (Which is fine. I don't need it atm)

I use HF @ 1100ms, HC @ 1000ms and then I'm obvs working HITs. So that keeps me right under the threshold of polling more than once per second. I have found that once you end up with one PRE, it ends up in a loop where the first one causes more. At least, that's what I've found. :)

EDIT If I do a fast batch, I could get close to PRE territory.

PC's "Stop Auto Slowdown" button is great for this.

Yeah but, if you're using anything else with PC, that becomes moot. PC may not cause them at that point but, other things will. I just don't find that PC has enough 'value added', over HC, to warrant me using an extra extension.

HForker is @ 1000ms, HC is @ 900 or 700 for HAM mode, OW is @ 1 second

Also, I thought the feature on PC was 'Auto Slowdown', where it automatically slowed the poll rate if it noticed "slowdown".(from pre's)

And I thought 'Stop Auto Slowdown' was to turn that feature off. Shows what I know!:p

Your right, it just says stop auto slowdown on the button itself. i thought it would be easy to find if i called it that.

Sorry. I haven't use PC in months so, I wasn't sure. When I get my new pc, I may use PC because I'll have the RAM and cpu bandwidth to justify the extension for the few convenience features.:)

Since we're slightly off topic anyway, got a random question for all of you. A successful 'natural sleep remedy' would allow you to sleep for 6-8 continuous hours, if you were starting from a baseline of "normal". Now, if you're an insomniac, what would you consider success, for the same herbal remedy?

For instance, I normally sleep 1-2 hours but, it takes an hour or 2 to fall asleep. Last night, I tried this stuff, https://www.amazon.com/KEY-NUTRIENT...d=1522553248&sr=8-3&keywords=lights+out+sleep
and slept the same 2 hours but, fell asleep very quickly.(15min+/-)

Success? I'm no good at judging sleep, as I don't value it the same as I used to.

I'm asking because I am testing the product and don't want to judge it too harshly because of my preexisting condition.

Thoughts? Thanks.:)

I would say it'd take more than one night of testing to be able to evaluate the efficacy. Give it a week or two of daily trials and then evaluate. :)

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. That said, if I drop off in mid-conversation with anyone this week, I'm sorry. I am trying to test this stuff but also trying to not upend my life over it. :)
