Man, LSD and Walking Around A College Campus seeing buildings crumble and be attacked by giant Donkey Kongs seems so tame in comparison.
I was chased through a graveyard by a giant popcorn with teeth. Then I went home and made some food. Almost burned my burger. Spent the next hour apologizing to the burger for almost burning it. Then, I watched Freddy vs Jason, all alone. Holy scary. I still don't eat popcorn anymore. :D

My other neighbors are cool and it isn't really a problem. Just annoying and usually when I'm trying to relax or rock out some user tests type HITs. This place was just a bad conversion and you can hear everything. Concrete floors and no insulation under them. I'll never live in another loft that is for sure!

I run a loud fan video to sleep with. It is good at covering any noise. As long as I can sleep I'm good.
As long as you can get good sleep I’m happy. White noise is a real lifesaver :)

Has this ever happened to anyone? You see a batch and well maybe it isn't the best paying, but you figure hey it's late and it's a bit of money. When you open said batch the requester wants you to somehow get the owners name, his address, his personal email, his blood type and the names of his last three mistresses all for ten cents. I mean to do these you have to have been a private eye, a hacker with 5 years of experience or the head of the NSA. I mean what the heck .....sigh :(
Underpaid AND unreasonable? Where do I sign up?

(no you are not alone, underpaid, terrible work is a scourge of the platform and the best thing you can do is learn how to quickly judge whether a batch will truly be worth your time or not)

 Thanks dear and it really is! Been an insomniac most of my life and white noise is the only thing that works for me. Made life so much easier once I found the right sound to nod off too.

yessss been running a fan since I was 6 and have never been without one since, and I keep two as back up as to when one burns out, as they run 24/7 here
I love the sound of fans but hate the wind on me/around me while sleeping. Bless youtube for making them virtual for me! :D

Meh. I wouldn't, these days. Mushrooms are safer, 'cleaner' and the recipe hasn't changed in 200 years. The number of people who can and are synthesizing LSD is nearly 0. Unless you know any Iron Horsemen. Then, enjoy the blotter. Otherwise, there are safer hallucinogens. Plus, I'm not into anything that lasts 12 hours, anymore. Time to put away childish things, as they say.

I am very pro fan...it is amazing how much a tiny dose of fan noise helps with ambient noise. For more problematic loud noises, I have a pair of earmuffs, although if I am trying to sleep, I generally resort to some white noise apps/soundtracks from my phone.

we ought to have an MTC Insomniac club here :)
It's called the night crew.:)
These are amazing too for the fan sound/white noise. Mine finally stopped working after 3 years of daily use. Need to get another. https://www.amazon.com/Marpac-Classic-White-Noise-Machine/dp/B000KUHFGM?th=1
I have 2 of those. Love 'em. Got them much cheaper though. I have a problem with silence. I need white noise to prevent my brain from doing trig, instead of sleeping.

my trip of choice is dex because it is cheap legal and I find dissociatives enjoyable. Most people don't for some reason. Although I am planning on getting some Fly Ageric or Hawaiian baby woodrose soon.
