I need to register a really petty off-topic complaint:

Husband invited people over for dinner tomorrow night on the spur of the moment, and it turns out one of them has a dietary restriction that makes my meal planning for the week go out the window, and worse yet, necessitates an extra trip to the grocery store. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Make husband go to store.

I'll cook the dinner all night long, the trip to the store is the thing that makes me want to cry, lol.

The plan was chili tomorrow night, chili dogs friday because we need to use up some hot dogs in the fridge, and then baked potatoes with what was left Saturday.

His coworker's S/O is vegetarian, and I'm very Ron Swanson about my chili. If there isn't meat in it, it's not chili, lol.

I think I'm just going to pivot to a nice pasta with alfredo, and just have a toppings bar with it on the side. Grill some chicken, steam some veggies, etc.

I agree with you about chili. I currently have bison chili simmering on the stove... fiancé is making cornbread.

Someone was saying the same thing on the reddit I think. Like there is something wrong with the HIT timer, and I think they said they watched it tick down and slowly get further and further off.
