If someone wants to offer work to be done on Mechanical Turk, but doesn't want to deal with the complexities of it themselves, or isn't able to directly sign up with Amazon, there are middleman/intermediary requesters who offer to post HITs for another person/business for a fee. I wanted to list in one place the ones I know of so far, both for workers to be aware of, and for anyone who might want to use such a service. Amazon features a number of these companies on their requester information site, as 'technology partners' and 'consulting partners'; some other companies included on those pages might not post HITs themselves, just help with the process, so I'm only listing the ones for which I know their MTurk requester name.

General varied types of HITs:

MTurk requester name: OCMP, and a bunch of others
Customer-facing name: WorkFusion, fka CrowdComputing Systems
Notes: See MTG OCMP requester thread and partner page (screenshot).

MTurk requester name: Alegion, fka Significant Bits
Customer-facing name: Alegion, part of Significant Bits LLC
Notes: See MTG Alegion requester thread and partner page (screenshot). In addition to batch work, posts simple single-question polls for Zipinion.

MTurk requester name: Mturk Data and Mturk Data2
Customer-facing name: Mturk Data Consultants
Notes: See MTG Mturk Data requester thread. Currently posts mostly international academic surveys on the second account, and other random types of HITs on the first account. Operated by turker Joe Miele et al, who has signed the Dynamo guidelines.

Surveys only:

MTurk requester name: SurveyComet
Customer-facing name: SurveyComet and TurkPrime, part of 'Crusoe Development, Inc.'
Notes: Active on MTurk since 2011, they offer to post researchers' surveys through the SurveyComet account, in addition to tools to help researchers post through their own accounts.

MTurk requester name: PickFu
Customer-facing name: PickFu
Notes: Simple single-question polls. Results from many previous polls are viewable at http://www.pickfu.com/feedback-polls . Active on MTurk since 2009.

MTurk requester name: Quiz The Crowd, fka Jillian Jordan
Customer-facing name: Quiz The Crowd
Notes: Simple single-question polls, created through an iPhone app.

MTurk requester name: Title Tester
Customer-facing name: TitleTester.com
Notes: Simple single-question polls for article/post titles.

Audio/video transcription HITs:

MTurk requester name: CastingWords
Customer-facing name: CastingWords

Customer-facing name: Speechpad
Notes: See partner page (screenshot).

Image tagging HITs:

MTurk requester name: Tagasauris
Customer-facing name: Tagasauris

Previous update note - Dec 8, 2014:

Looks like it's officially time for a Smartsheet-on-mturk obituary. :( :rip: As of today (don't know exactly how long ago it happened), their 'partner page' on MTurk.com has been removed, and I noticed last week (again, don't know exactly how long ago it happened) that Smartsheet.com had removed MTurk-related content (such as this, and this which had this pdf) from their live site; 'smartsourcing' (their feature that let clients send work to MTurk) has no mention in their redesigned product tour. One of the last vestiges was an orphaned intro PDF, which I've archived here before they got around to deleting that too.

Previous update note - Mar 6, 2015:

Starting in Feb 2015, it looks like one of the most popular Smartsheet clients, the one with the restaurant/store phone calls (and other random stuff), found their way onto MTurk directly... Smartsheet Client QOJJMMB apparently is now Casey Ryan (A2MN0YZXPX4E49).

On another note, I'm also adding the fairly-new survey middleman 'Mturk Data'/'Mturk Data2'. Their description of themselves: "Mturk Data Consultants is your HIT publishing resource for anyone who cannot publish on Amazon Mechanical Turk. We are here to offer a low cost solution to your Mturk problem. Our current focus is on international academic survey requesters and content creation. Future plans are to be a full service requester for a wide variety of HITs. After August 22, 2014, international accounts will be closed and no new international accounts will be accepted by Amazon Payments. Without an Amazon Payments account, requesters outside of the United States will no longer be able to publish HITs. We are here to fill that void."

Previous update note - Feb 24, 2015:

Added info on SurveyComet, which appears to be offering services similar to Mturk Data:

https://www.surveycomet.com/
" Need survey responders quickly?
Simply tell us your desired demographics (age, gender, political affiliation, preferences, health background etc.) and we will get you the data reliably and quickly, usually within 24 hours.
You create your survey on your preferred platform (e.g. SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, proprietary platform). We post your questionnaire to the sample. You get your data in record time. "

https://www.surveycomet.com/Home/FrequentlyAskedQuestions
" Recent Users: Columbia University; Mount Sinai Hospital, Department of Oncological Sciences; Chicago Booth School of Business; Marymount Manhattan College; Moscowitz & Jacobs, Inc.; Lutheran Medical Center; Touro College "

http://www.turkprime.com/
"Free for academic use!"

http://www.turkprime.com/TurkPrime/Home/FrequentlyAskedQuestions
" Can I run TurkPrime studies if I do not have a Mechanical Turk (MTurk) account?
Yes. Although TurkPrime is designed for Amazon Mechanical Turk Requesters with an MTurk account, we also provide a service so that you can use the TurkPrime.com MTurk account from where you can run your studies. This is particularly useful for non-United States based researchers who are not eligible for an MTurk account.
Contact us for details and pricing. "

"Turk Prime is intended as a platform for researchers in social science fields including psychology, sociology, political science and others."

Previous update note - Mar 30, 2015:

In addition to (and dating back earlier than) their data collection/categorization projects for major clients, Alegion occasionally posts 'Simple One Question Survey' HITs which come and go quickly. These come from Alegion's 'first customer' Zipinion, which was founded by one of Alegion's co-founders. They are one question plus demographics; similar to PickFu.

Added Title Tester. Caught a few HITs from them in June and July 2015, $0.02 to choose your favorite of several possible blog post titles. They describe their service on their website as "Know The Best Title Before You Hit Publish: Create a test in 60 seconds to gather feedback and boost click-through rates."
