One of these MTurk Answer Elicitation hits questions accidentally had a bit of text left on the end of it thanking the asker for texting with the number for the text and I Googled it out of curiosity and discovered that the questions and answers are from the ChaCha search engine that was around some years ago. I wonder what's being done now.. From what I read the company's attempt to sell in 2015 didn't work out.

I wonder what's being done now.. From what I read the company's attempt to sell in 2015 didn't work out.

Sometimes researchers can buy/acquire old data sets for various research use. A ton of Enron emails show up on MTurk HITs every so often and are used that way. Maybe the ChaCha company's data is being used for research now?

I stopped with those after a couple rejections early on, I'm sure they're nice but too risky for me at this point (I never use Pinterest anywho)
