You could go full nerd and do it in some FPS map editor. I once had a roommate that made a Quake map of our house and we would just run around and shoot at each other all over the house and the yard and stuff. It was complete with furniture and everything. Probably would have been great for rearranging things.

I think you can even order swatches for stuff like that too. fabrics and paints.
