Y'all are making me hungry again for fast food.

I have no car, so I'm stuck with the udon I brought from home.

Not that udon is icky or anything...I just eat it a lot.

I wonder if I can walk anywhere nearby and at least get a Pepsi.

I returned one but I don't think that helps you.

... I'm interested. Gooooo oonnnnnnn....

(But no seriously, if you have food recs, etc, we're still relatively new here, and I cook a LOT at home, so we don't really go out all that frequently, and thus haven't explored.)
It's this little hole in the wall chain but I think they only have one LA location. If you're by the WeHo Shack Shack this is too far for what it is, but if you're by Hollywood Shake Shack this is a good alternative. It's in the Ralph's complex on Western/Hollywood. I make DoorDash deliver it to me. Get the Cheeeeesy.

We're in East LA (Montebello,) but as someone who moved from the midwest, I don't understand things like the fascination with In'n'Out, or my (as yet to be disproven) impression that I can't get a hamburger bun anywhere in LA that isn't dry as a bone. My favorite burger I've found/had here so far is Umami, but good god the prices, and I don't always want the... frou-frou. Sometimes I just want meat, cheese, sometimes bacon, and grease that drips down my chin.

This is super greasy and thinner patties -- it's been our Steak n Shake replacement. The cheeesy is literally cheese and meat on a bun, which they reverse and toast so it's like grilled cheese style.
