I have always put that I rent but don't have the qual - oh well. About done for the day. Hopefully my internet will hang in there tomorrow.

ok thanks, I have not done some of those, your link shows 4 available to me right now. I think I have avoided them because I did not want it to be used to screen me out of something. Maybe I do some just for grins, cause I don't really fudge my info for surveys anyway. I know there are some that do but that is on them.
It wouldn't really screen you out of anything by avoiding them. If a requester put a qualification on their HIT (like this one did for renters), you won't be able to do it if you haven't done the HIT to give you the qualification.
You have to answer the questions in the HIT to get it granted. It's not granted by requesting it. Sometimes they're granted quickly and other times it takes awhile. The FAQ says they may take up to 30 days to grant it after you do the HIT.
Do we know if we can retake them to update info? Like income, etc?
Being able to update them on the fly would work against what they're meant for and could easily be abused. I think your best bet is to try contacting them for something like that :/
