On the very night I discovered that it was under review I messaged mturk through email support. They got back to me the next day saying they need a special team to investigate my account. After a week passed with no more changes or any emails, I decided to send another one last night. The only email I got today related to mturk was my money finally transferring to my bank and that's when I knew I got my account back.

Edit: All you have to do to qualify is select a time slot that you will be available to do it. They give you 10 minutes to click the link they email you at the time you select.
