Hopefully the rejections aren't on your account. Turking in the same house is fine. Sharing accounts is how you get banned

She has her own account. I don't know how Amazon would differentiate between who in a household is doing a hit though. I would think that Amazon might take issue with using two accounts to horde good hits and bypass the queue limit. If it were the sort of thing that they could tell that there was two accounts logged into one device on different browsers or something. I understand there are tax issues and that is a big reason why Amazon wants everyone to have their own account, but I don't think that if she had done the hits from my account that would give me cause that my account would be banned.

There's a lot of stuff that is against TOS that's hard to verify by amazon. It just looks bad for the forum to discuss it and I'd shy away from anything if you know its against the rules if you value mturk as an income option.
