Sixty-five. God. You're a PUP! :)

I was an E-5 serving at the NSA complex at Ft. Meade; either way, I could have been sent overseas had I not made it a condition for my "re-enlistment." Civilians and military co-serve at the main NSA complex: no diff; same job, same work areas.
Yeah, your older than I thought you were, my Father was born in 41 on Christmas eve. And I was a E-5 when I got out of the Navy. If you ever see films of carrier flight decks during launch and recovery of aircraft, you will see all the different colored shirts on the deck, I was a purple shirt, they called us "Grapes". If I had taken my skills to the airport when I got out and started working there, it would have been worth 13 bucks an hour in the 80's.

PE: $3.15 and a few bucks from Prolific.

But, the yard and patios are all cleaned up, outdoor furniture all scrubbed down, lawns all edged and I have a plan for tomorrow to get the inside of the house cleaned and the food all pre-prepped for cooking Easter Day.

It's a good thing I host Easter every year, or I don't think I'd accomplish this much spring cleaning annually!

Oh, and my mom bought me a four foot tall orchid that is stunningly beautiful. It's been bred to live outside, so I hope I don't kill it.

You did what I should have probably done. On the other hand, when my first Army tour was up (4 years) the Army offered me E-6 if I'd stay in, and NSA offered me GS-7 or -8 (can't recall which), and I shoulda done one of those. But, here we are, both TURKING! :) One of my brother's joined the Navy; I don't think ya can't go wrong working for the military, whichever one. I was born in '47; you?
Thank you for your service.
