The consensus seems to be it might be something to do w/ the imgur data breach that happened a few days ago, and people that use the same pw/usesrnames on multiple sites.

Use password 'pie123'
Signup to MTC with the username 'themildone'
Use password 'pie123'

Imgur's database gets leaked, bored human with entirely too much time on their hands downloads it and searches for 'themildone' and see the password is 'pie123'

Dude/dudette comes to MTC, tries to login to your account here with that password

If you re-used the password, it works and they can now shitpost from your account.

i changed my PW on a couple sites.
but i think when i get home today, i'm going to make an entirely new email/pw for turk and "sensitive" stuff.
