It is just confusing I followed a requester for two weeks with them posting everyday at consistent times. And now this week they have posted nothing.

Do all the qual HITs that you can (grab them when posted here and look on your own, too). Of course there is some skill involved in mTurk, but a lot of it is luck (being on at the right time when something is posted).
