So utest.com is a testing site where you test out websites, mobile apps, computer apps.
I have joined, but i haven't done much on the site so far.
Pros:
-There seems to be MUCH more money on this site than other crowdsourcing sites. I'm seeing jobs for 30, 40, 100 dollars an hour.
- There is a HUGE community,( like that of the mturk community ) of people to talk to in order to do well on the site
Cons:
-ITS CONFUSING!!!! There is just so much to this site its insane. There are badges and rating systems and lots of other stuff I don't understand.
- Most of the jobs are for professionals. From what I've seen, many of the jobs they put up are for actual app developers who want to do tests. Its possible that there are lots of usability tests for newbies, but I haven't seen them.
- So much to do before you can start making money. There are a lot of courses and qualifications you have to go through before you can get paid tests. you have to complete something called a sandbox course in oder to begin any testing. It just feels kind of daunting.
I would love for anyone who wants to join to give it a shot and report back how they did.
