Amazon Salesforce builds AI system to query databases using natural language with MTurk

The team at Salesforce recently released an exciting paper describing how they used reinforcement learning and Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) to convert natural language queries into SQL. With their new system, simply typing “who is the winningest team in college football” can be converted into an SQL statement to run against a database. It’s a great example of how MTurk is helping researchers build the training data they need to create innovative products.
