In case you hadn't heard, MTurk is reorganizing the different Masters qualification types.
"Today, we are taking steps to consolidate and simplify the Masters program into a single, unified Qualification. As part of these changes, the Photo Moderation Masters and Categorization Masters Qualifications are being retired. Workers with these Qualifications have been granted the single, unified Masters Qualification."

It's still a mystery how anyone obtains Masters. We've heard of people getting it with 3,000 HITs approved and we have workers with half a million HITs approved who still don't have it. Workers have reported getting it after being completely inactive for weeks, months, or longer. Thinking optimistically, maybe this new consolidation and simplification will lead to other changes in the Masters qualification system to distribute it more fairly.
