What are you saving your turk money for?

I'm making extra money to go toward paying for my daughters wedding later this year and a family vacation at the end of the year.

In between those two things just general extras for our family.

I'm saving up for the San Diego Comic-Con in July. The hotel and travel costs are rough that time of year, and I use whatever's left for buying artwork and autographs at the con.

(Thank goodness I'm not a cosplayer... I couldn't afford that!)

Right now mTurk money is one of many small incomes so I have to use it for bills unfortunately. In the next few months though, as my other work picks up it will become my savings and travel fund. Hoping to get back to Europe in the next two years and I try to take at least one trip somewhere in the US every year.

It depends. Right now, it goes between funding Amazon purchases (usually necessities a la my last purchase of diapers, wipes, and cat food, but sometimes fun stuff like clothes for kiddo or a desklamp, coloring books, etc) and paying bills. I'm still not making as much as I would like, however, I am making a bit more than I was when I was working part time on weekends (before the holidays). My goal is to make more than I was making when working part time DURING the holidays (which was about $200/2 weeks), but I'm still a ways away from that goal.

I have two goals: Taxes (50% there lol.) And book publishing/editing nonsense things.

Savings, mostly. Right now all of my Mturk money is going straight in to the savings account.

I'll most likely be bankrolling all of our Christmas presents and a trip to Mississippi. And we DO cosplay, so all of our costume budget is on me.

I'm saving up to take another trip to Vegas. We're hoping to go in October. I also pay for things like the kids' birthday parties (going to Wisconsin Dells for my son's birthday in March) and I buy all their Christmas presents.

That is great. I know that attending those events are very popular and can get expensive. Good luck!

I can understand that. I think this is a great way to bring in extra income to help with living expenses. Hopefully you will get to a place where you can travel again.

This has been a great way to make extra money for those things. You can definitely make more doing this than part-time work elsewhere.

I mainly save for just extras, but this year we have quite a few expenses coming up. We want a new car, along with several big-ticket household items. We're traveling to both Yellowstone and China this year and hopefully taking another small trip with just me and my husband. So, I need to make a LOT of money. Oh, also savings. :(

Just now seeing this! Wow you do have a busy year. Your trips sound fabulous though. All our extra money is going toward our daughters wedding expenses right now. She will get married in May so not too much longer.
